3 killed, 15 injured in Lahore explosion

At least three people were killed and 15 others were injured in an explosion near Data Darbar in Lahore today, Edhi Lahore confirmed.

According to initial police reports, the explosion took place close to two police vehicles near Gate 2 of Data Darbar. However, the nature and exact target of the explosion are yet to be ascertained.

A rescue operation was swiftly conducted in the area before it was cordoned off. A heavy contingent of the police has been deployed there.

DIG Operations Lahore Ashfaq Ahmed Khan is on his way to the hospital to visit the injured.
