Fire guts 10 houses in Khulna

Ten houses were gutted as a fire broke out at Garuikhali Housing project in Paikgacha upazila on Monday night.
Local sources said the fire originated from a kitchen of a house at 8 pm and it soon engulfed the adjoining nine other houses.
Locals rushed in and brought the fire under control at 10:30 pm after two and half hours of frantic efforts.
UP chairman Ruhul Amin said the affected owners claimed that the estimated losses caused by the fire are about Tk 20 lakh.
