2 held with 3,336 Yaba pills in Chittagong

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 3,336 pieces of Yaba tablets on Puratan Kalurghat-Cox’s Bazar road at Jangalkhain union in Patia upazila on Thursday evening.

Acting on information, a team of Rab-7 conducted the  drive in front of ‘Sugandha Park Community Centre’ around 6pm and arrested Babhtosh Basak, 33, hailing from Bandarban district, and Mridul Dey, 28, hailing from Cox’s Bazar district along with a private car, said a Rab press release.

After interrogation, the elite force members recovered the Yaba worth Tk 16.64 lakh from their possession.
