8 Shibir men held with 'bombs' in Jashore

Police arrested eight activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir along with '7 bombs' from Narayandpur union in Sadar upazila of Jashore district on Friday night.
The arrestees are Ashraful Islam, son of Moslem Barkandaj of Chaulia village, Mahmudul Islam, son of Enayet Hossain of Padmabila village, Abdullah, son of Noor Islam Sheikh of Rupadia Bazar area, Faisal, son of Yakub Ali of Zirat village, Awal son of Idris Ali of Mathura village, Mohaiminul, son of Monwarul of Ghuni village, Shawd, son of Abdul Halim Karekker of Narendrapur Kariikarparara and Abdul Alim, son of Abdul Wahab.
Tipped off that a secret meeting of Shibir men was going on , a team of police, led by assistant sub-inspector Ripan Miah of Narendrapur Police Camp, raided Zirat Alia Madrasa around 12am and arrested them along with the bombs, police said.
A case was filed.
