BRTA drive: 51 vehicles fined in Dhaka

Two mobile courts of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) today fined owners of 51 vehicles so far at Manik Mia Avenue in Dhaka for violating traffic rules and regulations.
Tk 81,500 has been fined till 11:30am when the report was filed.
The drive started from 8:30am on both sides of the Manik Mia Avenue, said BRTA officials.
Around 12:30pm, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader inspected the drive at Manik Mia Avenue.
While talking to journalists, he said, “People are violating traffic rules, thinking that drives will not take place during Ramadan. But this process will continue.”
