2 boys drown in C’nawabganj river

Two children have drowned in the Pagla River at Narayanpur in Shibganj upazila.
The deceased were identified as Shawon, 10, son of Anarul Islam of Tauarpara village, and Tareque, 13, son of Kalam Ali of Satrashia village in the upazila.
Ripon Kumar, sub-inspector of Shibganj Police Station, said the two children went missing while taking bath in the river on Monday afternoon.
On information, a firefighting unit rushed and recovered the body of Shawon from Bahlabari around 11 pm on Monday.
Divers from Rajshahi retrieved Tareque’s body from the river around 9am on Tuesday.
