3 killed as pick-up van hits truck in Savar

At least three people were killed and five others injured as a pick-up van hit a truck on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar's Boliarpur early Monday.
The deceased were Zahurul Islam, 55, of an engineer of Mir Akhter Group, pick-up van driver Khalilur Rahman and Nurunnabi.
Ajgar Ali, a sub-inspector of Savar model police station, said the accident took place when the Dhaka-bound pick-up from Sirajganj hit the truck from behind leaving the three passengers of the van dead on the spot and five others injured.
On information, police recovered the bodies.
