5 killed in pre-Fani storm in Kishoreganj and Bagerhat

Five people have died in lightning strikes during storms in Kishoreganj and Bagerhat.
In Kishoreganj, the deceased were identified as Sumon Mia, 8, Mohiuddin Ahmed, Asad Mia, 45, and Rubel Das, 26.
Mithamain Police Station Officer-in-Charge Jakir Robbani said Sumon was going home with cattle when he was struck around 12noon.
He also said, another victim Mohiuddin was harvesting paddy when he was struck by lightning in Biramchar area around 12:30pm.
Pakundia Police Station OC Mohammad Elias said Asad Mia was struck by lighting when he was mowing grass in Kushakanda around 1:00pm.
Itna Police Station OC Mohammad Morshed Zaman said another farmer Rubel Das was struck around 12noon when he was harvesting paddy.
In Bagerhat, an unidentified woman around 50 years of age died after a tree branch fell on her in Ronobijoypur area, said Sadar OC Mahtab Uddin.
