Fire at Paribagh building doused

A fire that broke out on the 10th floor of a high-rise building at Paribagh in the city on Thursday afternoon has been brought under control.
The fire broke out around 2:22pm and eight firefighting units brought the blaze under control within a short time, according to Fire Service and Civil Defense control room.
Earlier, Fire Service Control Room duty officer Rasel Shikdar confirmed that the fire broke out at the 16-storey building around 2:22pm in the capital’s Paribagh area.
He also informed that Fire Service authorities are yet to ascertain the cause behind the fire and damages done by it.
No casualties were reported in the fire incident.
