‘Casino Emperor’ Samrat, Arman jailed for six months

A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Sunday sentenced ‘casino king’ Ismail Hossain Samrat and his associate Anamul Haque Arman six months imprisonment for each under Wildlife (Conservation and Security) Act, 2012.
A RAB magistrate Md Sarwar Alam awarded them the punishment after two kangaroo skins were recovered from the office of the detained Jubo League leader at Kakrail in the capital this afternoon.
Earlier, members of RAB raided the alleged casino king’s office in his presence after he and Arman were arrested from Cumilla’s Chauddagram upazila around 5:00 am.
