Businessmen distribute sweets after ward councillor Manju’s arrest

Expressing their satisfaction at the news of DSCC ward councillor Moinul Haque Manju’s arrest, a group of businessmen on Thursday brought out a joyous rally in Tikatuli area of the city.
Some shop owners of the capital's Rajdhani Super Market and New Rajdhani Super Market distributed sweets following the arrest.
Earlier, members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested councillor Manju along with foreign liquor and firearms during a raid at his office in Tikatuli area around 12:00 pm.
According to law enforcers, there are specific allegations of land grabbing, extortion, drug trade and running gambling facilities against Manju, the councillor of ward No 39 under Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
