On Thursday, the Supreme Court's Appellate Division asked the Bangabandhu Sheik Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) to submit health reports to BNP Chair Khaleda Zia by December 5.

The order was passed by a six-member SC Appellate Division bench headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain while hearing the bail petition of the former Prime Minister in the corruption case of Zia Charitable Trust.

In the corruption case in which she was imprisoned by a trial court, she also set the same date for passing order on the bail petition filed by the former premier.

Mahbub Hossain, Moudud Ahmed, Zainul Abedin, Mahbub Uddin Khokon and Kayser Kamal represented Khaleda.

Attorney General Mahbubey Alam represented the state, while the Anti-Corruption Commission was represented by Khurshid Alam Khan.

In the situation, Khaleda's bail request was dismissed by the High Court on July 31, forcing her attorneys to run to the Appellate Division for a solution.

Last year, Oct 29, a special court in Dhaka sentenced Khaleda to seven years ' imprisonment in the BNP case known as "fake."

On Apr 1 this year, for treatment from the old Nazim Uddin Road prison, the former prime minister was transferred to the Bangabandhu Sheik Mujib Medical University Hospital.

Earlier, the government formed a panel of BSMMU doctors to investigate the wellbeing of Khaleda.

Until February last year, Khaleda has been in jail serving a total of 17 years in the corruption cases of Zia Orphanage and Zia Charitable Trust.
