Fakhrul, 3 other BNP leaders invited to Awami League council

Four members of the BNP, including General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, were invited to the upcoming 21st National Council of the ruling Awami League, scheduled for December 20.

In addition to Fakhrul, Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed and Mirza Abbas were welcomed to the National Standing Committee of BNP.

A three-member AL delegation headed by Jia Uddin Ahmed Shipu, person of the sub-committee, arrived with the invitation cards at the Gulshan office of the BNP chairman on Thursday (Dec 19).

Confirming the report, BNP's Assistant Secretary for Information and Research Riaz Uddin Nosu said on behalf of the four members he approved the invitation cards.

Tomorrow (Dec 20) at the Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital, Awami League is set to hold its 21st National Council.
