Polls of two Dhaka city corporations on January 30

The two Dhaka city corporations–Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) –will be elected on January 30.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda revealed the DSCC and DNCC election schedules at a media briefing on Sunday at Nirbachan Bhaban's media center in the capital.
Nurul Huda also said, "As planned, the deadline for submitting the nomination paper is 31 December, while the date for reviewing the nomination papers is 2 January and the final date for withdrawal of the nomination paper is 9 January."
The election symbol delivery will take place on January 10, he added.
The CEC also said that on January 30 without any delay, the ballots would be cast by electronic voting machines (EVMs) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
