BNP to take part in city polls

BNP Secretary-General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the party is going to take part in the upcoming elections to the city council, although it has reservations about justice.

After attending an event, the BNP Secretary General made the statement on Wednesday morning. 

In raising objections about the use of electronic voting machines (EVM) in urban polls, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that voting rigging will be legalized through this system.

He said, "There would be no free and fair elections under this government and election commission.  But as we believe in democracy, we are taking part in the city elections.
