Man held with 8 gold bars

Customs officials arrested a man along with eight gold bars, weighing 9.28 grams, at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong on Thursday, reports news agency UNB.
Quamrul Islam, assistant commissioner of Chittagong Customs, said a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines from Muscat landed at the airport in the morning.
Customs officials challenged Morshed, a passenger of the flight, while he was crossing the green channel and recovered the eight gold bars worth TK 40-50 lakh searching his body.
