Four killed in Sirajganj road accident

Four people including three of a family were killed in a road accident at Shialkol Bazaar in Sadar upazila last night.

The victims are Urmi Khatun, wife of Sohel Rana, her nine months age old daughter Soheli and brother-in-law Kauser Ahamed, residents of Mugbalai village under Kamarkhand upazila of the district. Identity of another woman could not be known.

Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Rafikul Islam said the accident occurred when a bus hit a CNG-run auto rickshaw from behind on the Sirajganj-Nalka road of the area, leaving two passengers of the rickshaw dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured were sent to Sirajganj General Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
