President attends iftar hosted by Chief Justice

President M Abdul Hamid yesterday attended the iftar hosted by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha on the premises of the Supreme Court here.

The President went round different tables set for the guests and exchanged pleasantries with them.

Before the iftar, a special munajat was offered seeking divine blessings for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation. Khatib of the Supreme Court Jame Mosque conducted the munajat.

Cabinet members, former Chief Justices, judges of the Supreme Court, attorney general, senior lawyers, senior civil and military high officials concerned, among others, also joined the iftar party.

Earlier on his arrival at the iftar venue, the President was received by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha and Law Minister Anisul Huq.
