Two more Hajj flights of the Biman Bangladesh Airlines were cancelled on Thursday due to insufficient passengers.

The flights BG-1073 and BG-5073 were scheduled to take off at 6:05am and at 1:25pm respectively, said Biman Bangladesh Airlines general manager (media) Shakil Miraz.

With this two, a total of 23 Biman flights and three others of the Saudi Airlines have so far been cancelled since the inception of the Hajj voyages on 24 July.

A total of 127,198 pilgrims are scheduled to fly to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj this year, said the Hajj Office in the capital’s Ashkona area.

As many as 68,512 pilgrims have already reached Saudi Arabia while the last flight of the Biman Bangladesh Airlines is on 26 August, the Hajj Office added.
