‘Neo JMB’ leader killed in Kushtia ‘gunfight’

A  ‘Neo JMB’ leader Arman Ali was killed in a gunfight with police at Boalia of Daulotpur upazila in Kushtia early Friday.

The incident occurred at 3am at Bottola field of Boalia.

Being informed, a gang of criminals was discussing in a secret meeting for commiting subversive activities, police conducted a drive at the area.

Sensing presence the law enforcers, the criminals fired on them, prompting the law enforcers to retaliate, triggered a gunfight, leaving Arman Ali injured.

Later Arman was taken to Daulotpur Upazila Health Complex where doctor declared him dead.

Police also recovered a pistol, two round of bullets, a magazine and three machetes from the spot.
