Big tailbacks on Dhaka-Ctg highway

A severe traffic congestion stretched three kilometres on Dhaka-Chittagong highway from Bhaterchar area of Gazaria to Meghna bridge in Comilla since early Tuesday.
Officer-in-charge of Bhoberchar highway police line Saiful Islam Majumdar said efforts are on to ease the traffic congestion.
Farhad Pradhan, a doctor of Sundarpur village of Daudkandi upazila, sets out for Dhaka from there at 6:00am. He reached Kachpur at 9:30am. He said normally it takes about one hour to travel the distance.
Another tailback in Narayanganj
Another three-kilometre traffic jam was seen from Sonargaon intersection to Keudhala of Madanpur on the highway in Narayanganj district.
