Signal one for river ports

All river ports in the country have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number one till 6pm today, said a warning message of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD.

"Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary south or south-easterly gusty or squally wind speed 45-60 kilometers per hour (kph) is likely to occur in the regions of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Bogra, Pabna, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar And Sylhet where river ports shall hoist cautionary signal number one," BMD release said.

Besides, Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places in the country.

Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. Rainfall activity may decrease for next 72 hours. 

Country's highest temperature on Tuesday was recorded 33.5 degree Celsius at Bhola in Barisal division and minimum temperature 24 degree Celsius at Dimla and Syedpur in Rangpur division. The highest rainfall was recorded 103 millimeters in Dhaka. 

The sunset at 6.49 pm today and sunrise at 5.19am tomorrow in the capital.
