Explosion in London Metro, passengers injured

An explosion took place inside a carriage of London’s iconic tube train on Friday morning leaving several passengers injured, officials said.

The blast occurred during the morning rush hour at around 8.15 am (local time) at the Parsons Green station in West London and led to a stampede.

As per initial reports, many passengers have been left with facial burns due to the explosion while the train services have been suspended.

Meanwhile, the British Transport Police (BTP) confirmed the news and said that officers were at the scene.
