2 workers killed as truck overturns in Rajshahi

Two workers were killed as a rice-laden truck plunged into a ditch in Mohonpur, Rajshahi on Monday around 5:00am.
The deceased workers Mohon, 28, and Rashedul, 23 were from Kushtia.
The two were heading from Naogaon to Kushtia in the truck after loading their harvested rice in it, officer-in-charge of Mohonpur police station, Abul Hossain said.
The driver lost control of the truck on the way in Mohonpur and the truck plunged into a roadside ditch injuring the two to death on the spot, he added.
The driver and his assistant ran away after the accident, he said adding that, the victims' bodies were kept at the police station.
