The truck packed with onions is missing

Onions worth Rs 20 lakh were stolen on the way from Nashik in Maharashtra to Gorakhpur in India's Uttar Pradesh.

A truck full of onion started from Nashik in a filmy type robbery but vanished on the way.

Nashik businessman Premchand Shukla had dispatched Rs 20 lakh onion in a truck belonging to the Shivpuri transporter called Javed.

Onions have been bound for Gorakhpur but on the way they have vanished. The businessman arrived in Shivpuri to inquire about his whereabouts when onions did not reach Gorakhpur on the date given.

Businessman Premchand Shukla lodged a complaint against the transporter at Shivpuri Police Station for alleged theft of onion worth Rs 20 lakh.

Shivpuri SP, Rajesh Singh Chandel said the truck loaded with onions would go to Gorakhpur and should reach the destination by November 22. He said it was missing both the driver and the tractor. "We found the truck after examination, but it lacked onions," said Shivpuri SP.
