Awami League nominates Atiqul for DNCC and Barrister Taposh for DSCC

The Awami League has nominated Atiqul Islam as the mayoral candidate for the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Barrister Sheikh Fazle Nur Taposh for Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) elections.

Coulcilor candidates were also nominated by the ruling party for both city corporations ' elections. 

AL Secretary General Obaidul Quader revealed their names on Sunday at a press conference at the Dhanmondi political office of the party president in the capital.

Earlier on Saturday night, the AL Local Government Nomination Board held a meeting with Prime Minister Ganabhaban and AL President Sheik Hasina in the chair at the official residence of the Prime Minister to choose the party candidates for the two city corporations scheduled for January 30.
