Mosharraf calls for building social resistance against militants

LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain has called upon all irrespective of political affiliation to be united and build a social resistance against the militants. 

He made the call while speaking at Eid reunion of officials and employees at the meeting room of local government division of the ministry, said an official release. 

The minister yesterday said ill attempts are being made to damage the government's image at a time when the country is progressing fast in all sectors. 

The local and foreign conspirators are conducting secret killings and militant activities to stop the country's overall development, he added. 

The minister said the role of LGRD ministry is undeniable for the improvement of living standard of the common people. 

Referring to the success of the ministry in the implementation of Annual Development Programme in the last fiscal, he urged the officials to work with sincerity to achieve the target in the future too. 

Local Government Division Secretary Abdul Malek, Cooperatives Division Secretary Dr. Proshanta Kumar Roy and other officials and employees of the ministry attended the reunion.
