All Indian TV channels are likely to be banned in Bangladesh. Already, the channels of Zee television network telecast have been stopped in the country.

Cable Operators’ Association of Bangladesh (COAB) Director SM Anwar Parvez came up with the information while talking to journalist on Tuesday.

He said the Zee TV telecasting were stopped due to advertisement problem. Now, other channels may be banned.

But this may cause extreme loss to the cable businesses. Any protest or appeal in this regard will not bring any positive outcome, he said.

Faisal Ahmed, a customer service officer of Jadu Digital informed that the channels are barred following the order of the Information Ministry.

“According to Cable TV law-2006 [subsection-19 (13)], telecasting foreign advertisement to the viewers of Bangladesh is a punishable offence.”
