CBI releases a statement on Sushant Singh Rajput case

The Central Bureau of Investigation is currently probing into Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. According to a recent report on India Today, three officers who are a part of the probe have stated that their team has so far not found any evidence that suggests Sushant was murdered. The report further stated that the agency is now looking into the suicide angle of the case.

Now, the CBI has released a statement on Sushant's case which read, "The CBI is conducting investigation related to death of Sh. Sushant Singh Rajput in a systematic and professional way. Certain media reports attributed to CBI investigation are speculative and not based on facts. It is reiterated that as a matter of Policy, CBI does not share details of ongoing investigation. CBI spokesperson or any team member has not shared any details of the investigation with media. The details being reported and attributed to CBI are not credible. It is requested that media may please confirm details from CBI Spokesperson before quoting CBI."

Meanwhile, the CBI has interrogated Rhea Chakraborty who is the prime accused in the case along with her father Indrajit Chakraborty, Brother Showik Chakraborty, SSR's former manager Shruti Modi, flatmate Siddharth Pithani, staff member Dipesh Sawant and others.

Apart from the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate is probing the money laundering charges against the prime accused in the case, Rhea Chakraborty. Also, the Narcotics Control Bureau is looking into the drugs angle.
