The capture was confirmed by Solaiman Saif, assistant commissioner of Dhaka Customs House's preventive department.

The discarded gold consignment was retrieved from the airport's Import Cargo Village area at about 10:15 pm, according to airport reports. The gold bars were kept hidden inside glass frames in a special technique.

Custom officers, operating on a tip-off, seized 640 bits of gold bars weighing 100 gm each, carried from Singapore by flight BG 085 to Dhaka.

Sulaiman Saif said, "We were able to seize the gold smuggled by false declaration after acting on a tip-off." "We are now investigating the matter and scrutinizing the records involved in the incident," he said. Nevertheless, no one has yet been arrested in connection with this gold shipment.
