'Bose 2' film, which is set to be released during upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, faces another controversy in Bangladesh.

The joint production featuring Bangladesh actress Nusrat Faria and India's Jeet Ganguli and Subhasree Ganguly has been marred with an allegation of violating joint production guidelines while selecting actors for the film.

According to the joint production rules of Bangladesh, the film must share half of actors from either country.

The preliminary preview committee of the censor board raised the allegation after reviewing the film.

After reviewing the film, chief of the committee and managing director of the BFDC (Bangladesh Film Development Organization) Tapan Kumar Ghosh told this to Prothom Alo on Tuesday.

"Most of the artistes in film are from India. It seems to me that in the case of actors, the principles of a joint production have not been followed," Tapan Kumar Ghosh said.

What could be the possible solution now for the film? Asked about this, the committee chief said, "We have prepared a preliminary preview about the film. Now, the review will be sent to the information ministry. The final certification will be given from there."

Producer and director of the film's Bangladesh part, Abdul Aziz, said the film has been produced in accordance with the joint production guidelines.

"The numbers of actors of both countries are equal in the film. Many newcomers of Bangladesh have worked in the film. Members of the preview board could not recognise them.

Jeet Entertainment Limited has produced the Indian part of the film.

A few days ago, Film Co-ordinating Union (Chalacchitra Oikyajote) sent a letter to the Primary Preview Board for enquiring whether 'Nawab' and 'Boss 2', two joint productions, have violated the joint production policy.
