Everything is well set now to begin a new season of cricket in the country; the 2018 calendar year will dawn with the tri-nation series on Monday; the first match is going to be between hosts Bangladesh and Zimbabwe accompanying the expectations of a warming contest in winter fizzed Dhaka city.

The lastly completed cricket assignment of Bangladesh that was against South Africa in late September brought much discomfort; the dismal performance of the team, thereafter, looked stringy enough by the abrupt departure of coach Chandika Hathurusingha and Bangladesh is now going to face the first phase of a coach less mission stationing senior cricketers like skipper Mashrafe bin Mortaza and Shakib Al Hasan to guide the team in and outside the field.

The match will be started at 12 pm Bangladesh standard time at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

The tri-nation series will be followed by a bilateral Test and T20I series against Sri Lanka, where Hathurusingha found his new destination. So the post Hathurusingha era of Bangladesh cricket is to take place against a Hathurusingha guided team of the subcontinent.

Bangladesh (probable): 1 Tamim Iqbal, 2 Anamul Haque, 3 Shakib Al Hasan, 4 Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), 5 Mahmudullah, 6 Sabbir Rahman, 7 Mohammad Saifuddin, 8 Mashrafe Mortaza (capt), 9 Mustafizur Rahman, 10 Rubel Hossain, 11. Nasir Hossain.

Zimbabwe (probable): 1 Hamilton Masakadza, 2 Solomon Mire, 3 Craig Ervine, 4 Brendan Taylor, 5 Malcolm Waller, 6 Sikandar Raza, 7 Peter Moor (wk), 8 Graeme Cremer (capt), 9 Kyle Jarvis, 10 Chris Mpofu, 11 Tendai Chatara.
