Zimbabwe have won the toss and elected to bat first in the fourth match of Rocket tri-series against Sri Lanka at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur.

Zimbabwe were the winners in the previous face-off against Sri Lanka on Wednesday. They posted 290 on board and went on to win by 12 runs. They bounced back after losing to Bangladesh by eight wickets in the opening match.

Sri Lanka are struggling in the tri-series under new coach Chandika Hathurusingha. After losing against Zimbabwe, they were hammered by 163 runs by Bangladesh in the third match on Friday. Moreover, their regular skipper Angelo Mathews is out of the tri-series with hamstring injury.

Zimbabwe kept their hopes alive in their next match. If they win this one, they will go on to join Bangladesh in the Final on January 27. For Sri Lanka, it’s a do-or-die match.

Sri Lanka have made one change in their playing XI. They have brought left-arm wrist-spinner Lakshan Sandakan in place of Wanindu Hasaranga. Zimbabwe, on the contrary, are playing with an unchanged XI.
