Afghanistan beat Bangladesh in 1st T20I

Bangladesh conceded a 45-run defeat to Afghanistan in the 1st T20I of their three-match series at neutral venue Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun, India on Sunday.

Chasing a target of 168 runs, the Tigers were bundled out for 122 in 19 overs.

Liton Das scored team-highest 30 off 20 balls while Mahmudullah made 29 of 25 balls.

Rashid Khan and Shapoor Zardan took three wickets each for 13 and 40 runs respectively.

Earlier, Afghanistan scored 167 runs for 8 in 20 overs after they were sent to bat first.

Mohammad Shahzad scored 40 off 37 balls, Samiullah Shenwari made 36 off 18 balls and Shafiqullah 24 from just 8 balls.

This was the first bilateral series between Bangladesh and Afghanistan and the ground of Dehradun is India's 21st venue to host Twenty20 International.
