Tigers reach Antigua, to play two-day match from Tuesday

Bangladesh national cricket team reached Caribbean island Antigua on Monday morning (Bangladesh time) to play a two-match test, three-match ODI and three-match T201 series against the West Indies.

Touring Bangladesh team were scheduled to make their first practice session at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua Monday afternoon (local time).

Bangladesh team will play their lone two-day preparatory match against a local selection beginning on Tuesday at the Stanford cricket ground in Antigua ahead of the two-match Test series.

The first Test of the two-match series will begin on July 4 at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound while the 2nd Test on July 12 at Sabina Park, Kingston in Jamaica under newly appointed national team’s head coach Steve Rhodes. 

Bangladesh squad: Shakib Al Hasan (captain), Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Liton Kumar Das, Mominul Haque, Mehidy Hassan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Rubel Hossain, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Abu Jayed Rahi, Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Shafiul Islam.
