Bangladesh football team leave for S Korea Saturday

Bangladesh football team will leave for South Korea on Saturday night for a preparation camp, involving three friendly matches against local selection, ahead of their upcoming campaign in the Asian Games and in the SAFF Suzuki Cup.

A Cathay Pacific flight carrying the national booters will take off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 2:00am.

On completion of the camp in South Korea, Bangladesh football team on 11 August will go to Indonesia to take part in the 18th Asian Games to be held in Jakarta and Palembang from 18 August to 2 September.

Bangladesh's footballers will arrive home before the start of the seven-nation SAFF Suzuki Cup from 4-15 September in Dhaka. Bangladesh will host the region's premier football tournament for the third time.

Bangladesh football team manager Satyajit Das Rupu disclosed the details at a press conference at BFF House on Friday.

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) general secretary Abu Nyeem Sohag, national team head coach Jamie Day and midfielder Jamal Bhuyan also spoke on the occasion, hopping to bring good results for the nations in the upcoming two events.

Assistant coach Staurt Paul Watkiss and Lindsay Roger Paul Davis, among others, attended the conference.
