Bangladesh beat Hong Kong by five wickets in their third and final group B match of the U19 Asia Cup today at Chittagong. The Tigers are currently on second position with the same number of points (4) as leaders Sri Lanka, who are playing Pakistan.

Pakistan currently have two points but have a better net run-rate than the young Tigers. They bowled out Sri Lanka for 200 runs in their match at MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong. Bangladesh's fate will rest on whether Pakistan beat or lose to Sri Lanka today.

Winning the toss, Bangladesh chose to bowl first and bowled out Hong Kong for just 91 runs at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium with Rishad Hossain once again bagging three wickets, this time conceding just 11 runs in 7.5 overs. The legs-spinner had also bagged three wickets in Bangladesh’s victory over Pakistan yesterday.

Mrittunjoy Chowdhury and Rakibul Hasan bagged two wickets each in fantastic economical spells. Bangladesh started their chase badly, losing early wickets as Nasrulla Rana of Hong Kong scalped three wickets in the same over (3rd).

Wicket-keeper batsman Akbar Ali struck a 19-ball 25 while Mahmudul Hasan Joy played a blazing 20-ball 32 run unbeaten knock as the Tigers coasted to victory in just 11.2 overs.

Brief scores:

Hong Kong: 91 all-out (Kalhan 16, Kabir 16, Rishad 3-11)

Bangladesh: 92/5 (Mahmudul 32*, Akbar 25, Nasrulla 4-39)
