Bangladesh need 247 to win series

Brendan Taylor hit a beautiful half century but Bangladesh bowlers were successful in restricting Zimbabwe to 246 for 7 in the second ODI in Chittagong on Wednesday.

Mohammad Saifuddin was the key fot the Tigers as the all-rounder grabbed three wickets after his last game's heroics with the bat.

Winning the toss, Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza invited Zimbabwe to bat first. All-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin was the first to strike, removing Hamilton Masakadza (14) with the team score on 18.

Opener Cephas Zhuwao (20) and Taylor then added 52 in the second wicket before Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed the wicket of the former, thanks to a Fazle mahmud catch.

Taylor and Sean Williams now set up a 77-run partnership to take the visitors to a decent total. Taylor hit 75 in 73 balls courtesy of nine fours and a six while Williams made 47.

Sikandar Raza was their secod-highest scorer, his 49 in 61 balls took the team past 200. He hammered three fours and two sixes in his innings.

The hosts have won the first game, meaning a victory today will seal a series win, although they are still without star players Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal.
