Bangladesh reach 411 at stumps

Bangladesh have started their two-day warm-up match against a New Zealand XI by winning the toss and choosing to bat first at the Lincoln University Ground in Christchurch, New Zealand. 

Bangladesh 411 for six in 96.1 overs at close. Stumps were called on Day 1 following the wicket of Nayeem Hasan, out leg-before after scoring 12 off 19 deliveries. Khaled Ahmed remained unbeaten on naught.

Abu Jayed was the fifth Bangladesh wicket to fall, out after scoring 23 off 26 deliveries. Earlier, Bangladesh got off to a terrific start with a century opening stand between Tamim Iqbal (45) and Shadman Islam. Shadman struck a team-high 67 off 113 deliveries to show his Test sensibilities. Liton Das too got in amongst the runs with a 62-run knock. Mahmudullah Riyad and Mehedi Hasan Miraz then combined in a 136-run partnership to take Bangladesh close to the 400-run mark.
