Sri Lanka win toss, elect to bat first against India

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first against India in 44th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup at Headingley, Leeds on Saturday.

India will be hoping to give themselves a chance to finish on the top of the 10-team points table. On the other hand, Sri Lanka would want to do something special for their legendary bowler Lasith Malinga who is gearing up to play his last World Cup match.

Sri Lanka are among the few sides who have a positive head-to-head record against India in World Cups. They have beaten India 4 times in 8 meetings. On the other hand, India have beaten Sri Lanka 7 times in 9 meetings since the 2015 World Cup.
Sri Lanka made one changes to their squad as Thisara comes in for Vandersay

India brought two changes as Chahal is rested for Kuldeep, and Jadeja comes in for Shami.
