We cannot do much but BCB will stand by shakib:PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said Bangladesh Cricket Board cannot intervene in the ICC decisions over Shakib Al Hasan's punishment for not reporting a corrupt approach.
“We cannot do much in this connection. But, BCB will stand by Shakib as he is one of our skilled players."
Sheikh Hasina made the comment while addressing a press briefing on Tuesday (today) about the outcome of her just-concluded official visit to Azerbaijan to attend the 18th NAM Summit.
When asked about the steps to be taken by the authorities concerned over Shakib issue, she answered, "The International Cricket Council (ICC) has their own rules and as per the rules they will take action in this regard."
According to media reports, Bangladesh T20 and Test captain Shakib Al Hasan may be banned for 18 months by the ICC for not reporting a corrupt approach.
