Bangladesh have to bat first in the opening match of the Tri-nation Series as the host Ireland captain William Porterfield elected to bowl first after winning the toss at Malahide in Dublin on Friday.

All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is leading the Bangladesh side as the Tigers regular ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Moratza was suspended for one ODI match due to a slow over-rate during the third ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo in early April.

Both sides are taking each other in this format after around seven years break as they played last in 2011 in the ICC World Cup in Mirpur.

In their previous seven ODI meetings, since April 2007, Bangladesh secured five victories and conceded two losses against Ireland.

Bangladesh XI: Tamin Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Sabbir Rahman, Shakib Al Hasan (stand in captain), Mosaddek Hossain, Mushifqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed, Rubel Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman.

Ireland XI: Paul Stirling, William Porterfield(c), Niall O'Brien (wk), Andrew Balbirnie, Stuart Thompson, Gary Wilson, Kevin O'Brien, George Dockrell, Barry McCarthy, Tim Murtagh and Peter Chase.
