Australia name squad for Bangladesh tour

Cricket Australia on Friday announced a 13-man squad for tour of Bangladesh in August.

According to the cricket board, Australian pacer Mitchell Starc will miss the upcoming tour as Aussies are set to play two-Test series.

After arriving in Bangladesh on August 18, Australia will play a two-day warm-up match in Fatullah before the first Test in Dhaka on 27 August. The second Test will be held in Chittagong on 4 September.

The 13-member squad is likely to increase by one as the National Selection Panel of the Australian Board expected to name a replacement for Starc following Australia A's tour of South Africa next month.

"Mitchell was due to go for follow up scans after the Champions Trophy, as part of his recovery plan," Bupa Support Team Physiotherapist David Beakely was qouted to have said on CA website.

Australia squad for Bangladesh tour:

Steve Smith (c), David Warner (vc), Ashton Agar, Hilton Cartwright, Pat Cummins, Peter Handscomb, Josh Hazlewood, Usman Khawaja, Nathan Lyon, Glenn Maxwell, James Pattinson, Matthew Renshaw, Matthew Wade.

Fixtures:

Team will arive on 18 August

Warm-up: 22-23 August at Fatullah 
First Test: 27-31 August at Dhaka 
Second Test: 4-8 September at Chittagong
