Renshaw latches onto one from Shakib and drives him through mid wicket for four. One ball later he does it again, picking his spot to lift the ball over mid wicket and the ball goes for four. Handscomb showing some positivity as he puts some pressure back on Bangladesh.

Not playing with the bat has been a dangerous ploy in subcontinent pitches. Mehedi gets one to hold it's line and there is a shout for lbw. Ball pitched on line but possibly drifting wide. After some consideration Mehedi and Mushfiqur Rahim decides against a review.

Matt Renshaw and Peter Handscomb are at the crease for Australia. It's been a difficult morning and Mehedi Hasan Miraz has been able to put enough pressure on skipper Steve Smith to put him into a rash decision.

Renshaw edged Shakib in the 18th over but the thick outside edge falls short of Soumya Sarkar at slip. Ball races to the boundary for four. This are important runs for Australia as they look to overcome early morning nerves.

At the end of 15 overs Australia are 44 for the loss of four wickets. Captain Steve Smith was removed by Mehedi Hasan.

Shakib Al Hasan and Mehedi Hasan have been bowling in tandem after Shafiul Islam's early spell in the morning. Mehedi  has so far picked up two wickets so far and Shakib Al Hasan got one.
