Zimbabwe extended their lead to a 230-run before lunch break on day three, resuming the second innings with an overnight lead of 140-run lead, against Bangladesh in the first Test of a two-match series at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Monday.

Skipper Hamilton Masakadza [39* off 86b; 5x4] and Sean Williams [16 off 48b; 2x4] were at the crease in the third stand of 44* off 13.4 overs when the bails were drawn for the lunch break.

In the first session on the day, Zimbabwe lost two wickets Brendan Taylor and Brian Chari within an innings of 30 overs to add 90 runs more with an overnight score of 1/0 in 2 overs.

Spin all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz brought the 1st breakthrough for Bangladesh, bowling out Brian Chari on 91/2 in 32 overs, before spinner Taijul Islam dismissed Brendan Taylor at 47/2 in 18.2 overs.

Brendan Taylor was caught by Imrul Kayes after scoring 24 off 25 balls, including four boundaries.
