England won the toss and elected to bat first against New Zealand in 41st match of the ICC Cricket World Cup at Chester-le-Street on Wednesday.

The match is extremely crucial for both teams as they look to pin down a semi-final berth. A win for England will make it extremely difficult for Pakistan, who will be watching on intently, while a New Zealand win makes it tougher for the hosts to make the top four.

Playing XI

England: 1 Jason Roy, 2 Jonny Bairstow, 3 Joe Root, 4 Eoin Morgan (capt), 5 Ben Stokes, 6 Jos Buttler (wk), 7 Chris Woakes, 8 Liam Plunkett, 9 Adil Rashid, 10 Jofra Archer, 11 Mark Wood
