Bangladeshi shooter Abdullah Hel Baki won bronze medal at Thursday's ongoing South Asian Games Shooting men's S10 m air rifle competition.

Baki shot 228 in the shooting range Satdobato to finish third on the podium.

India's Pankaj Kumar took home the 249.2 gold medal, much to the Indian fans ' pleasure, while his countryman Kiran Jadav bagged the 248.7 silver.

In his immediate reaction, disappointed Baki said, "In the final, most experience nervousness and stress, and it happened to me as well, which I could not resolve in the last minute."

Secretary General of the Bangladesh Olympic Association Syed Shahed Reza, who was there, said Baki played well throughout the match but missed the medal in the last minute due to one bad shot. It's normal as in the game it can happen.

The Secretary General of the BOA, however, was very positive about winning more gold medals in the remaining disciplines by Bangladeshi athletes.

He said they had some promising opportunities in the game of cricket, archery, fencing and golf, where he hopes the athletes could win more gold for the nation.
